BreakerBuddy™ makes it easy to test electrical breakers in your home, on the job, or anywhere electrical circuit testing is required. The BreakerBuddy™ system is ideal for one-person or small crew jobs in larger homes or buildings.
Simply plug your BreakerBuddy™ into an electrical outlet or light socket, head to the breaker box, and begin testing breakers. No need to walk all over the building or to ask someone to shout at you. You'll find the right breaker every time with BreakerBuddy™.
Plug your BreakerBuddy™ unit in to a standard electrical outlet using the included 5V USB adapter. You can also use the included E26 light fixture adapter for light fixtures.
After a few moments, open the Settings app on your phone to bring up the list of available WiFi connections. BreakerBuddy™ will appear in this list.
Choose Breaker Buddy in the WiFi list. If you are asked for a password, use 12345678. Then join the network.
Open the web browser on your phone and enter 192.168.4.1 in the address bar. This is the address of the BreakerBuddy™ testing page when you are connected to the BreakerBuddy™ unit via WiFi. Accept or cancel the disclaimer screen to continue or stop the testing process.
Clicking "Accept" on the disclaimer opens the testing page. You may now begin testing your breakers.
Begin testing breakers one at a time, pausing for a few seconds in between each one. When you've flipped the right one, the "Testing" screen will appear. "Interruption detected" will also appear on screen.
After a power interruption is detected, the "Check Device" screen will appear. In most cases, your breaker has been found, and you can move on to the next one.
